Baradighi Tea Estate

Baradighi Tea Estate, nestled in the lush Dooars region of Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, spans approximately 600 acres and is renowned for producing robust teas with gleaming black grains that delight both the eyes and the palate . Owned by Rydak Syndicate Limited, a company with a rich legacy dating back to 1898, the estate has become a symbol of India's storied tea heritage .

In 2019, Baradighi embraced tea tourism by transforming its colonial-era superintending manager's bungalow, once host to the Viceroy of India, into a heritage resort known as "Baradighi The Bungalow" . This boutique resort, built in 1872, offers guests an immersive experience with antique furnishings, modern amenities, and activities such as tea tours, jungle safaris, and riverside picnics .

Beyond its scenic beauty, Baradighi Tea Estate is committed to community development. In collaboration with local authorities, the estate has initiated programs to train women in processing water hyacinth into paper and textiles, promoting self-reliance and environmental sustainability .

With its blend of historical charm, natural splendor, and community engagement, Baradighi Tea Estate offers a unique and enriching experience for visitors and locals alike.
